BAD_POOL_HEADER, daily at ~3:00 EST
Hello,
I hope that someone here may have some advice for me with a BSOD error that I am having. I would appreciate it.
I have a Dell Precision 7510 that is 3 weeks old and has been having a BSOD error since I received it.
The BSOD is BAD_POOL_HEADER
It seems to occur daily at about 3:00 p.m., but only if I am not using the computer. That is, if I am actually sitting at my computer from, say 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m., it will not crash. But if I get up and leave the room anytime near 3:00 p.m., the computer will crash. Maybe there is some automated process that gets run at that time of day?
Bluescreenview says the BSOD is related to storport.sys
WhoCrashed suggests that it is related to Intel Rapid Storage Technology.
In attempting to resolve the problem I have done the following:
1. Exchanged the entire computer with Dell (This is the 2nd of an identical system to have the exact same problem) - This suggests it is unlikely to be a hardware problem.
2. Updated the Bios
3. Downloaded and installed what are supposed to be updated Intel drivers from the Dell support website. Though, as the computer is only a few weeks old, I doubt these are different than what was on it to begin with.
The problem persists.
One factor that I wonder about is that the computer has an m.2 PCIE SSD. This seems to be a relatively new kind of hard drive, and perhaps there is some incompatibility with other aspects of the system.
Attached, is the zip file containing all the information obtained per the forum rules.
Thank you in advance for any advice,
Mike
