    Computer keeps freezing

Hi. Like it says in the title, my computer keeps freezing randomly. I've noticed it happens pretty often if I have too many tabs up in Chrome or am just trying to copy files over to my external hard drive. There's no BSOD; it just forces me to shut down manually.

I've done most of my important Windows Updates (it froze again when I tried to install the last one) and I've run the tool on Dell's website to see if my drivers were out of date and it doesn't look like it. I've also gone into Device Manager to update the "display adapters" and it tells me that's up to date too.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Haven't you ever updated the display driver? Do it right now! Get it from here: Legacy

See how it goes. Let us know.

Hi, thank you for your reply.

I tried updating my display driver like you suggested (Crimson Edition 16.2 Beta), but it froze up again an hour into use. At the time, I had about seven or so tabs up in Chrome (it has happened with fewer tabs though) and had literally just paused Winamp. I don't think that counts as heavy usage.

I think that solved it! I tried opening a ridiculous number of tabs and nothing's frozen up the entire day! Thank you so much for your help! :)
