BSOD wake from sleep iusb3xhc.sys ffusb2audio.sys

Hi all. Been running into this issue a lot with my win7 setup, where when I wake it up from sleep, sometimes it BSODs. I've run windbg64 and BlueScreenView to narrow it down. In BlueScreenView I see that there are 3 highlighted (red) drivers: iusb3xhc.sys ffusb2audio.sys and ntoskrnl.exe. WinDbg points at iusb3xhc.sys as the main culprit.

I updated my usb3.0 drivers and my mb (asus z97a) chipset to latest versions two weeks ago to see if that might help. Apparently it didn't. I have a bunch of Logitech stuff and an audio interface plugged into the usb 3.0 ports: Wireless Keyboard (K750), Wireless Mouse (MX Revolution), Webcam (C170), and Focusrite Audio Interface (Scarlett 2i4).

Any direction would be great. Thanks!

Hello gerbus.

Most of your BSODs were caused by the Intel USB 3.0 extensible host controller driver, so go here and download to update it:

Also might be a smart decision to update the Focusrite audio USB 2.0 driver.

So I updated four days ago, and still a crash today. Today was more interesting than usual. I moved the mouse, the computer woke, the screens woke up and showed all my open programs, but the mouse cursor wouldn't move. I tried the windows key on my keyboard too. Then I got a slightly different BSOD. Looks like maybe this one has to do with my ethernet drivers?

Hello again gerbus.

There is this update but sometimes you have to be a bit cautious with it because it might do more harm than good but I'm quite certain that will only help you at this stage, you have an outdated BIOS, yours is at 1008 and the latest one is at 2801 so hopefully doing the update will minimize your BSODs.

Select your OS and the scroll down to BIOS-utilities and download it as I believe it will be an easier way to update it.

Hi gerbus3.

It still complains about the Intel USB 3.0 extensible host controller driver.

What USB devices do you have connected? are any unpowered?

Please run a system file check (SFC)
Open an elevated cmd window (Go to start>type CMD>right click and run as administrator)

Type SFC /scannow

You may have to run this up to 3 times.

I've got a Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 (powered via usb), and a logitech wireless keyboard/mouse. My suspicion is that it's the focusrite at the center of this.

Result of scan:

Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.

Have you tried moving the Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 to other USB ports?

Would it be a complete loss if you moved it to a USB2.0 port?
