BSOD on old HDD as well as new SSD, various strange errors.

    Hello,

I'm currently having huge issues with my laptop.

Since 2 weeks ago it started acting weird as in waking up from sleep and hibernate and random BSOD's.

Alright, so my situation, I got 2 drives:
1 HDD with 1TB capacity (This was the default HDD I got with the laptop)
1 SSD with 1TB capacity (Which I bought a few days ago)

So my laptop started with these annoying bluescreens, literally around 3 ~ 4 bluescreens per day in a row.

First I thought it'd be something with my HDD or Windows installation, so what I did was just buying a new SSD and trying that one out.
First I cloned my HDD to my SSD, the problems still occured.
So I did a fresh windows install on my SSD and moved my registry files, app data, and program files folder to it. But the problem still occurs, it still gives me BSOD's.

Here are 2 errors of the BSOD's (It's not a lot, because this is on my new SSD)

The errors say UNEXPECTED KERNEL MODE TRAP and NTFS_FILE_SYSTEM
After Googling a while, people say it could be your Antivirus, your Harddisk and your RAM.
In my case I'm sure it's not the antivirus or the harddisk, because there's no antivirus on the new install and the SSD is new.

So it COULD be the RAM.

But why could it be the RAM?
I've got 2 default RAM sticks, 4GB each.

And I bought 2 more RAM sticks of 8GB each like 1 year ago, and my laptop has been running smooth since then, I never had any problems.

Why could this be the RAM?

My laptop DID turn on a few times in my bag, and my CPU does get up to around 75 degrees.
But I don't think these 2 things could be the reason for this.

Anyone able to help me out with this?
I know some of you will say do a "Ramtest" but as I've read, in some cases Ramtest doesn't give you any results while the problem is the RAM.

Is it possible to remove 1 ram stick at a time, and test the laptop for a few days?
Would this be a good solution/way to check whether it's the RAM or not?

Hello and welcome Soufian mate without having any dump files for the blue screens it is hard to say what the cause is so run these please
Dump Files - Configure Windows to Create on BSOD
    &
Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions

As a by the by the RAM issue could be either the sticks or the slots and to test them you need this but you MUST run the test here for at least 8 passes or you might as well not run it at all.
    RAM - Test with Memtest86+

    Alright, I just tried something.
I removed 1 RAM stick of 8gb, and the problem still occured, then I removed the second RAM stick of 8gb. And the problem seems to be solved. But I'm still not sure whether it's a coincidence or not.

So far, I still didn't receive any BSOD for 24 hours, I'll be using my laptop for 1 week to see if I run into any problems.
If I do run into problems, I'll post a dumpfile.

    Mate.

If you have dumpfiles now, how could it hurt to post them now, hmm?

    Cheers, Boris :)

I got so many previous BSOD's, so I got so many dump files as well as you can see:

But here are the latest dump files:
    MEMORY_MANAGEMENT:

    SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION:
    https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/...6-36843-01.dmp

I have no idea how you guys read these dump files to find the causes, but you guys are doing a great job! :)

Well only by having a quick look through the most recent BSOD, it seems you might have faulty RAM.

And I would still recommend that you do as ICIT2LOL suggested, and that is to run memtest86+ for at least 8 passes!

Thanks for your quick response! :)
I'm glad it's the RAM, I'll be running the memtest once I got time.
I think the problem is solved now though.

Yep well as Boris said heaps of refs to memory and best time to run memtest is overnight as that may be the amount of time it takes.

Now of course if you get errors come up straight away you can stop the memtest and then it is just a matter of running it again with each stick on it's own. As I think I mentioned before it can be a bad slot too so hypothetically the sticks can show errors in one slot and yet not in another.
