    Random shutdown, Kernel-Power 41, BSOD, BugcheckCode 126

    Hey,

I have problem with random shutdown of HP 8760w
I bought a used computer and I have it already half a year.
Even when the system fresh problem appeared (very rarely).
Shutting down is not related to duration of action, heat, stress.
HDD (hd tune?) , CPU (occt), graphics card (occt), RAM (memtest) was tested.
The error which remains in the logs is usually:
    Kernel-Power (41)
The power supply is original, measurements showed correct value.
Turning off is quite rare, sometimes one by one , and sometimes 1/week.
Yesterday there was a BSOD (BugCheckCode 126?). BSOD appears rarely,

most frequently it is sudden shutdown.

BIOS, all drivers are up to date. Original windows ultimate 7 x64 with updates.

    Help.

Hello tommy and welcome to 7forums! :)

Could you please run the dm log collector again, and did you run it as administrator, if not do it because otherwise it will skip collecting important files!

    Cheers, Boris :)

    Alright thanks!

The BSOD was caused by rdwm1117.sys which is a driver from Roland Corporation, do you own anything from Roland?

    Cheers, Boris :)

    Thank you Boris for diagnosis.

Recently installed interface audio (USB) from Roland.
So this is coused of last BSOD but not for Kernel-Power problem
Just in case, I'll uninstall the driver , and many drivers of sound cards, which I do not use.

    Do you see something more?

    Regards,
    Tommy

No actually that was the only thing that caused the BSOD.

So if you install new drivers for the Roland device you have and if you haven't had a single BSOD since the install then you are in the clear and you can mark this thread solved!

    Cheers, Boris :)
