    BSOD for twcinnh

    Here is my the file generated by the download.

    I've been getting BSOD for a while; performed a repair install of Windows a few days ago but that did nothing; now I've come across this Forum and am looking forward to some guidance.

    Hope I've provided all the requested information.

    Regards,

    Tom C

    Hello twcinnh sorry that no one responded until now.

    The dump file tells us that mwac.sys was partly responsible for the BSOD. mwac.sys is the driver for the process Malwarebytes Web Access Control, if you use Malwarebytes then I would recommend that you uninstall it and use MSE in its stead.

    The dump file also complained about netio.sys which is the driver for your network card so I would also recommend that you run the Intel Driver update tool:
    Intel® Driver Update Utility

    Cheers, Boris :)

    Instead of uninstalling Malwarebytes, pause the Web Protection feature, as it's known to conflict with other drivers, if you don't want to uninstall Malwarebytes.

    You don't have to be sorry for a delay of a few hours response, that is usually pretty fast in most other sites I've seen

    MSE = AV,
    MBAM = AM
    The OP should at least be running MSE if no other AV is installed, MBAM is NO replacement as AV.

    I've been using Malwarebytes for years. Could it be something corrupted there and a removal and reinstall would do? Or, something they changed. I have Bitdefender as an AV.

    Tom C (I very much appreciate your time and efforts.)

    OP, have you run Driver Verifier for 24 hours?

    It's currently running.

    I'm not familiar with the driver verifier. Does it run and then generate a report? Does it need any input from me, or just let it go.

    Let it run for 24 hours, if you get any BSOD report immediately with the new log.
