Black Screen! With mouse pointer only. Help!

    Hey guys i know it been a while this tread havnt got any reply but i'm getting the exact same problem

    The only thing is that i rebooted windows to an older copy... then it work... but after few hour or 1-2 day i do it again... The exact same thing that guy said.

    Anyway to fix this!? I'm not downloading anything between the time i reboot and it happen again

    i got an Asus laptop with windows 7 family premium edition 64x

    The problem could be due to files permissions


    Another possible origin of this problem (windows 7 starts with black screen and mouse visible and moving but no menus, desktop etc. and no CTRL+ALT+DEL action) is if some system files have wrong permissions.
    The reason because this happen is unknown (maybe a virus or an anti-virus side effect ?) and in order to resolve you should take off the HD and reset the files permission for the Windows, Users and Program folders (and files) using another computer running Windows 7.
    The quick way is to assign full control to Everyone but this is obviously unsafe, better to check every directory and compare with a working system to establish the best settings.

    I have read them, but no luck on my pc. I have reimaged laptop 4 times. Same results black screen with white mouse. I even just ran windows 7 only software and added drivers. It did the same. Look at events and seen numberous error events.
