mhm...I suspect that the fans have something to do with it, as the computer always broke down when starting a resourcefull application (right now it would even brake down if I chance the resolution)
But i believe my fan is working, at least I can here it.
I'm having the same problem but I don't think that it is hardware related, if your system locks up what do you do? You shut it off and restart it or just hit the reset button. Each time you do this it generates a kernel power event id 41. My computer never did this before windows 7. This is an OS issue, my voltages are well within acceptable limits and I'm not getting any spikes or dips and there are no blown caps on my board or graphics card. My RAM is also clean and passing memtest, no broken leads or unexpected dumps and I have only had 1 BSOD since the install and that was the first time I booted up and driver updates handled that. I'm still stumped on how to fix the problem but I'm pretty confident it isn't my hardware.
No problems with the boot screen as of yet. Although sometimes it just doesn't start. I think it might just be Driver compatibility issues at this point. even with all of the beta testing 7 has had I think there are still bugs to work out and third party vendors might not have it quite right. XP had some serious issues when it released too, if you remember.

New one is too bad, now. There is i5 CPU, Gigabye P55-UD3 MB, Corsair RAM (4 GB) and I had 15 critical stops yesterday (EventID 41)
Intel Turbo Boost is disabled right now (i hope that it could helps, but no change).. so today, I will try disable CPU EIST Funstion.. we will se.. but I'm very unhappy with this.

I'm experiencing also Kernel Power 41 freeze. It's not a BSOD, but a total jam. Happens quite randomly, while gaming and something while just surfing internet.
What would be the easiest way to identify the faulty driver or hardware? Some app perhaps? For me, the bug seems to happen like once a day or two. If the PSU is the reason, then how to identify that?
I am having this problem too, it must be a software issue with windows 7x64, it must be imcompatable with some motherboards??
I solved this error by replacing RAM. One of them was bad and I guess Win7 is a bit more intolerant with bad RAMs. If you have more than one memory module, then test all of them through just in case.
And I recommend you to update your MB BIOS and all the drivers too. When does this error occur? Totally randomly or when the computer is in stress?
I am also having the Event 41 Lockup (no BSOD...just locks up) --- happens to me when quickly opening and closing AVC HD video. Otherwise, HD videos play fine and close properly. Only occurs when playing 1-2 seconds AVC HD videos or quickly closing after opening one. Haven't experienced it any other way so far.
