I get some BSODs when I play games like World of Tanks, League of Legends, Skyrim, etc. IRQL_Not_Less_or_Equal, Driver_IRQL_Not_Less_or_Equal, System_Service_Exception, Bad_Pool_Header.

Things I've tried:

Replaced RAM, Put more fans to prevent overheating, reinstalled windows 7, checked connections inside computer.

Any help would be appreciated. :)

Hi jsnarch,

Welcome to the 7forums :)

The only problem I see is an improper seating of the memory
Make sure the memory is seated in the same colored slots.

If the other colored slots don't help either, I suggest that you try a memory test per below instructions.

Diagnostic Test

 RAM TEST

arrow.png
Run MemTest86+ to analyse your RAM. MemTest86+ - Test RAM - Windows 7 Forums

   Note
picture.php

MemTest86+ needs to be run for at least 8 complete passes for conclusive results. Set it running before you go to bed and leave it overnight. We're looking for zero errors here. Even a single error will indicate RAM failure.

Addition:
If errors show up you can stop the test, remove all sticks but 1 and test this single stick in each slot for 8 passes or until errors show, switch sticks and repeat.
If errors show up and you see them a lot later, no problem, the errors don't affect the test.

So I switched the RAM sticks to the grey slots and I was able to play a game. A few minutes after I quit the game, I got a different BSOD.

It said, "An attempt was made to write to read-only memory." 0x000000BE (0xFFFFF8A00E855412, 0x5A400001F37A8121, 0xFFFFF88006D124B0, 0x000000000000000B)

For some reason, I can't find the crash on BlueScreenView.

If you know anything about the BSOD I just described, let me know. I am hoping this RAM is not bad because I just bought it a week ago. I thought my other RAM was bad.

Upload the dump from either %systemroot% or %systemroot%\minidump for analysis, it has 2 possibilities
1. driver writes to an improper memory address
2. a part of the memory is basically bad

I don't see a 0xBE coming back in the dumps, in the logs there is also nothing present about a 0xBE crash.
Anyway, seeing the NTFS + 0x1A it may be time to check in with the hard drive.

Alright, thank you very much for so far. I really appreciate it.

By the way, I found another .dmp file in C\Windows. It is called MEMORY.dmp, it's too big to upload. 180MB

There is no need to upload it anymore :)
I wanted to have a look at it for the 0xBE crash if there wasn't a minidump, but with the normal settings it is already overwritten.

Hi andywl94,

Please do NOT post in other threads + do not post in your own thread until somebody has responded. Posting in your own thread while nobody else has yet responded removes your thread from the unanswered threads list and that lessens the chance of a BSOD analyst looking into your thread. The unanswered thread list is where we are looking at first working from oldest threads to newest as the oldest are waiting the longest to ensure everybody gets helped. Please wait some more time until someone gets to you.

Jsnarch, please wait a few more minutes, I'm currently analyzing your logs :)
If you have in %systemroot% a file called memory.dmp, please upload this file to a 3rd party uploader (like dropbox, onedrive, google drive, etc.) and post a share link into your next reply. I believe this crash you're talking about is the last crash, unfortunately I can't open the dump for some reason and because that crash you mention occurs very infrequently I would like to have a look at it.

Please remove the Gigabyte software while troubleshooting, Gigabyte software is known for causing BSODs in the past and that hasn't changed.

Please uninstall AVG and use Microsoft Security Essentials as alternative while troubleshooting.

So after deleting the gigabyte software and AVG, I was able to play world of tanks with no crashes so far. I will continue to play to see if I get any. I will let you know what happens.

Thank you very much for all you're doing for me. :)

EDIT: Well, that didn't last long. I was able to play about three 10 minutes games, then the computer just rebooted. No bluescreen, just restarted.

EDIT#2: And bluescreen, "IRQL_Not_Less_or_Equal" Can a bad CPU cause these?

Possibly, IRQL is basically the priority scheme that Windows uses when processing, most often it is due to a IRQL level 2 which is for dispatching, DPC's and synchronisation, normally a proper IRQL for processing stuff that isn't for Windows is at level 0. A bad CPU could process the IRQL incorrect and thus process the data not at the right IRQL level.
However it more often happens that it is caused by drivers due to pagefaults at IRQL level 2, at that level only nonpaged memory, nonpaged memory is memory that is reserved for the system (used by drivers and Windows), can be accessed at which pagefault do not occur so a pagefault at IRQL level 2 is a violation.

I suggest that you follow the posting instructions for analysis :)

Ps, I'm well aware that I'm talking about things you might not understand, but explaining it all just takes a lot of time.
