    BSOD When playing some games on Steam

    Hi,

    I've been having this problem for a while now but have pretty much just been ignoring it, but its got to the stage where I can't play games without it happening. I've tried googling the errors I get but am not sure if what is coming up is specific to my problem.

    I'm running windows 7 x64, I have a GTX 660SC and an i5 3570k processor. I am not overclocked. I have attached the file generated with DM Log collector, if anyone could give me any help it would be much appreciated. I believe the latest blue screen is the most frequently occurring one, although there does seem to be a few that pop up.

    You have a lot of errors with stop code 124. This stop code relates to hardware errors. Analyzing one of the dump file shows that there is problem with CPU cache:

    ===============================================================================
    Section 2 : x86/x64 MCA
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Descriptor @ fffffa8009fbe138
    Section @ fffffa8009fbe2c0
    Offset : 664
    Length : 264
    Flags : 0x00000000
    Severity : Fatal

    Error : GCACHEL2_ERR_ERR (Proc 0 Bank 8)
    Status : 0xbe2000000005110a
    Address : 0x00000000b6a0b680
    Misc. : 0x0000001082000086

    My recommendations are:

    - try to monitor processor temperature envinroment with one of the popular utility like HWMonitor;
    - try to detect defective capacitors on motheboard
    - try to verify work of power suply

    Thankyou for your reply, I monitored the temperatures with speccy and they seemed to be pretty high (95 under load with Prime 95), I bought another cooler to replace my stock intel one and just a attached it - it has made no difference on the temperature however, and I am still blue screening.
