BSOD on a new PC, Random Timing/Some Artifacting? (Event ID 10)
Hey Guys,
I've had this new PC for a while, 1-2 weeks and it's seemed to have problems for most of the time I've had it. I'll have smooth frames of easy 90-120 in most games and it'll seem top run fine, but I've had different issues with both Artifacting and BSODs, at seemingly random points of the day. Either it'll crash with a checkboard pattern in what seems to be a Graphics card problem (I've been in contact with the PC builders about this) or it'll randomly black screen and I'll need to do a hard reset, which sometimes gives me the information of a BSOD.
I've noticed various errors in the Event Viewer over the weeks and it seems with each driver version I download there's some new problem, from Heavy Atrifacting one day ( https://i.imgur.com/ewivt9M.png
https://i.imgur.com/UWV87iR.png) both when using an old TV as a monitor and a brand new one I ordered to it running fine all day and then BSODing, with an array of different errors.
The most common BSOD errors I've been having seem to be WMI errors, and I've made sure to both install the latest version of my GPU drivers and Windows Updates after 'stable' builds recommended by Nvidia don't seem to work.
Today was actually quite a normal day, had no crashes/driver failures all day until about half an hour ago, which return a WMI error as a crash.
'Event filter with query "SELECT * FROM __InstanceModificationEvent WITHIN 60 WHERE TargetInstance ISA "Win32_Processor" AND TargetInstance.LoadPercentage > 99" could not be reactivated in namespace "//./root/CIMV2" because of error 0x80041003. Events cannot be delivered through this filter until the problem is corrected.'
I'm suspecting a corrupted Windows installation and thinking of resintalling, but I've never done that before so I'm not sure what to do, what do you guys recommend? Does this look like a hardware or software issue? I'll also stay in contact with the company to see what they say.
I'll post some other Errors I've noticed in my Event Veiwer, to see if they're relevent.
'Faulting application name: SndVol.exe, version: 6.1.7601.17514, time stamp: 0x4ce7aced

'The following fatal alert was generated: 43. The internal error state is 252.'
'Session "Circular Kernel Context Logger" failed to start with the following error: 0xC0000035'
So, what do you guys think? DOes this sound like software? A faulty Windows install? Or a hardware problem? I've done GPU stress tests recommended to me by the company and the PC passed fine.
Thanks
