System_service_exception (asmtxhci.sys) BSOD on Boot
My PC was running fine and I was running CCleaner to fix registry issues like I normally do, I went to the Startup Section and was disabling programs to speed up my boot time. Whilst on it I went on the scheduled tasks and instead of disabling them I deleted them.
Now everytime I bootup I get a BSOD with the error:
"System_Service_Exception" "***asmtxhci.sys"
I am writing this from Safe mode with networking and I am unable to find a fix, I have no system restore points anymore despite having some there a few days ago and I can't even reset to factory setting because when I bought my PC all I got was a code for windows 7 which when I try to validate on Windows 7 gives me an error which is on Microsoft's end saying they were unable to process my request.
In case it wasn't deleting the scheduled tasks I had been installing/updating drivers which may have something to do with it if it isn't the boot up tasks.
I am running Windows 7, Build 7601: Service pack 1.
I found this topic which seems to be the same - Windows 10 BSOD: SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION asmtxhci.sys - Windows 10 Forums
However Device Manager doesn't show any errors under any of the drivers, I don't have an ASMedia USB driver though, I found the download for it for my z87i motherboard but can't install it because windows installer isn't available in safe mode and the people in the other forum seems to just install the driver after he is able to identify that the lack of the driver is causing it. I don't have access to another computer so won't be able to get the driver. I'm at a loss as to what to do, I can't restore to an older restore point or to factory settings and I can't even determine that this is causing the problem.
please bare in mind that im in safe mode so i cant run anything that uses windows installers like drivers from asus etc
