Test the system, I do not keep suggesting while a given suggestion that just has been applied may have solved the problem :)

I put the computer to sleep and got this error. After clicking ok I got a similar one and the screen went blank then the computer restarted. No blue screen.

Sleep mode isn't an option in Safe Mode.

    Hi teven0855.

Please follow the the tutorial Power Plan Settings - Change

Go upto Step 5.B. For the Hard Disk, apply this settings:
See how it goes. Let us know.

No problems with applying the settings. I put the system to sleep and ended up with a 0x7A again. Picture of BSOD attached.

Then apparently sleep has nothing to do with your issue; coz the disk is not going to sleep.

Moreover, the screen you posted says ....
    Attachment 389193
The second parameter, marked in yellow is the Error Status.
The description of the 0x7A bugcheck says ....
If the error status is 0xC000000E, 0xC000009C, 0xC000009D or 0xC0000185,
it means the disk subsystem has experienced a failure.
So in this situation I would ask you for another test, using Seatools for DOS this time.

Just want to leave a message that I will be away on a trip (no internet, etc.) and such I will not be able to troubleshoot this issue until around the end of the month. Thanks to everyone for their help so far and I look forward to continuing working through this issue.
