    BSOD Crash after AVG scan

    Hello,

I have been experiencing BSOD crashes for a few months. Previously the crash would happen and then it would keep crashing on startup.

Skip forward a few months without the crashing and now following an AVG full computer scan I am experiencing BSOD crash but without startup problems this time (although I am unable to restart computer immediately after a crash.) AVG has now been uninstalled after 5 years of running it on this machine. (But crashing still occuring)

I haven't had the BSOD appear but 'BSOD' appears as the error in event viewer.

I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. I had to recently replace the battery.

Any advice on the actual error and how to fix it would be greatly appreciated.
