    BSOD stop: 0X0000001E 0x0000000000000000 after new GPU


    Hello, a friend is having crashes after roughly 30-45min. Whether it is sitting idle or under load from games. The old video card failed about a week ago and replaced it with a different and more recent model.
    Drivers were uninstalled and the card removed before installing the new card and drivers.
    The problem only began after the new video card was installed.
    The upgrade was from a GTX 690 to GTX 1080.

    Please remove all pirated programs and such from your system before we can start troubleshooting.
    The Forum rules is meant for everything regarding piracy
    • Discussing it,
    • Asking for guidance,
    • Asking for a crack,
    • The use of it,
    • Etc.

    4) No piracy or discussion of piracy allowed at all. Such as software, music, videos and other intellectual property violations (e.g. downloading youtube videos locally etc).

    I apologize about the piracy, I'm not aware of that sort of thing.
    Understandably, as no one would help, leaving the solution for this particular problem in case someone else has a similar issue.

    Looked into it with WINDBG

    The issue driver: iaStora.sys

    Simple fix was to update Intel Rapid Storage Technology
