    With that small number of updates, and the subsequent reply from the standalone install, based on Axe0's recommendation, i suspect you have an update problem, please run this tool copy/paste the output

    Well I couldn't copy. I clicked copy, but nothing happened. So I took a screen shot that is attached. I hope that's ok.

    When you click 'copy' it is saved to the clipboard in the background, only thing that you have to do is paste it in your next reply (between code tags)

    Open notepad and paste (ctrl + v), then you'll see it :)

    Hi T
    Your activated but NOT registered, you need to install KB971033,
    it will remove the file mismatch's and register Admin/ActiveX.
    You should be good to go then.

    On a side note as WU is basically in a recycle mode it will ramp up temps as its ALLWAYS running albeit in the background.
    200+ updates will now install, and any graphics card ones as well.

    WHEN there installed please run sfc /scannow.

    IF your original problems still persist, repost the BSOD reports
