With that small number of updates, and the subsequent reply from the standalone install, based on Axe0's recommendation, i suspect you have an update problem, please run this tool copy/paste the output

Yes it sounds like you have more than just heat issues.
Please follow Roy's advice the best you can as he is first class help.
Please check your email address as you are the OP and should have received a notice automatically.
-
For which update did you get the message?
That was for the update standalone installer. It won't install.

Well I couldn't copy. I clicked copy, but nothing happened. So I took a screen shot that is attached. I hope that's ok.

I checked. My email addy is ok. My junk folder is clear.

When you click 'copy' it is saved to the clipboard in the background, only thing that you have to do is paste it in your next reply (between code tags)

Hi T
Your activated but NOT registered, you need to install KB971033,
it will remove the file mismatch's and register Admin/ActiveX.
You should be good to go then.
On a side note as WU is basically in a recycle mode it will ramp up temps as its ALLWAYS running albeit in the background.
200+ updates will now install, and any graphics card ones as well.
WHEN there installed please run sfc /scannow.
IF your original problems still persist, repost the BSOD reports
Roy
