Thought since there so many great minds on this forum that maybe if I included a Hijack log that someone could spot the problem.

Well I finally got some help from HP if you call it that. Since my OS is OEM I can't get help directly from Microsoft so the peerson at HP contacted MS on my behalf. They told her that they had a solution but would not give it to her and wants me to contact them on a fee basis to maybe get an answer. Great support on both HP and Microsoft. So now I am told that Microsoft has a solution as long as I am willing to pay the fee. Guess that is the Christmas spirit at work.

Use CPU-Z to find the motherboard model. Then search the manufacturer's site for update.

Also, install the latest drivers for everything you can think of - especially motherboard/chipset.
