I understood that you could get in Windows as you could provide data from the event log, unfortunately the event log is barely something of use other than knowing what kind of a problem we're dealing with.

You have recovery media from which you can boot?

    Recovery Media?

I have made a system repair disc back on 2013 but that does not seem to be working.

    Question..... Am I screwed here?

If you're screwed depends on if you've made backups of your data and what the cause is.

With 'that does not seem to be working.' I assume you mean you can't boot from it, that is possible with a few reasons
    • Defect disc,
    • BIOS setting wrong,
    • Something else seriously wrong with your computer

If you have access to another Windows 7 computer, then you could create a new one. I would recommend to use a USB for creating a recovery media.
Just in case a tutorial for how to create a recovery media
