Driver IRQL not less or equal, nvlddmkm.sys while playing games

So this issue has been going on for a few months now. While my partner had vista (i know), and even now during windows 7. It appears to happen on any game, older games and some new ones too eg: Warband, Dark mesiah, Saints Row: Get Outa Hell and KF2. I knew they were bsods but no minidump files were being created until a friend changed a setting which i was finally able to find out through "Who Crashed" what the bsod message was. But since then even though its bsod many times no more minidumps have been created. So a description of what exactly happens. The game crashes, usually the screen will go black, other times its been different colours, you might hear a windows sound every now and then, then you hear the classic buzzing sound but his computer doesn't restart and the monitor shuts itself off.

What i have done so far:
Uninstalled Nvidia using Display driver uninstaller
downgraded to an older version of the driver 1/12/15 update 359.06
I then tested it by playing its problem games, crashed after 2.5 hours.
At the moment as i type ive updated different motherboard updates except for the bios (Audio, chipset, and LAN)

Ive done my research online and ive encountered 10 possible solutions and problems to this, some of them dont even seem to relate to nvidia, so i definitely need some expert guidance here.

Oh and another thing to add, using Acronis Drive Monitor the HDD for C drive is at 94% health, we do plan on replacing it.

I will estimate it has BSOD over 20 times. However there is only one minidump to show, thats because it has never made any except for that day my friend did some tinkering.

Please help, ive been racking my brain on how to fix this.

    Kind regards,
    Lenka
