Do you have a recommended program to monitor the temperatures?
I just air dusted my computer, wasn't too dusty, but always good to do and checked all the wires and connections, they seemed normal.

Just installed Speccy, the temperature for my Motherboard is around 40C, my CPU is around 26C, and my GPU is around 36C and my hard drive is around 32C while watching some video.
Hmmm, hope its not my CPU. I upgraded from my previous CPU to this one earlier this year, I still have my old CPU and can try putting it back in and seeing if that fixes the problem.
Okay, remember though that Speccy or HWMonitor might not give 100% accurate temperature figures. But I would be surprised if it was actually overheating.
So if you need completely accurate then it is always recommended to see it in the BIOS, sorry should have maybe mentioned this earlier. I blame it on my sleepiness.
Have you tried disabling hardware acceleration within Chrome?
How about doing a full and clean re installation of Chrome?
And how about Windows Update, when's the last time you have run it`?
Cheers, Boris :)
I've never tried seeing the temp through the BIOS, I don't know how to access the information in the BIOS.
I turned off hardware acceleration on chrome and all it seems to do was make the videos stutter more, but I've left it off for now still. The problem with high cpu usage isn't just in Chrome too, using any internet browser, I tried firefox, gives pretty much the same results.
I also checked windows update and I am up to date.
Alright.
Well have you checked if you need to update flash player?
If not:

If yes, crap I'm running out of ideas.
Cheers, Boris :)
My flash player is up to date also... Hmmm.
Now the problem that we are trying to fix is pretty similar to the same problem I encountered last time I had a BSOD over this summer a few months ago. My cpu usage was really high all the time, couldn't play video games, etc... and that last problem was with the ntoskrnl.exe if I remember correctly. I somehow was able to get it fixed, I think I deleted some file or folder, but can't remember exactly what I did to fix it last time though. Oops... Just some extra information that I thought might help point towards the problem currently going on.
Do you have any idea if you are using the HTML5 Player or Flash Player for YouTube videos?
Take a screenshot of this page for me please:
