    Weird glitch on monitor!!!

ok this is what i have tried so far:
    1. New monitor - no fix
    2. Different video card - no fix
    3. changed drivers on video card - no fix
    4. changed direct x - no fix
    5. Reinstalled win 7 - no fix
    6. changed frequency and resolution properties multiple times - no fix

So please can anyone help me?

the problem is when ever i move my mouse, open a window, open a menu, get a notification, anything graphics wise, i get small to extreme glitches, like as if it froze but kept moving, just no trail, only remnants of old places where the window was, or mouse was. I'm an IT and this is the first time i have seen this happen.

Are there any other options to try?
Is anyone else having this problem?
only solution i have found is xp...

    Please help! Please!

    Hey.

Type system information in the start menu search box. Hit enter. Then use ctrl+s to save.

Zip or rar the saved file and attach to a post using the paperclip.

i already downgraded to xp, but ive tried different versions of win7 and it still happens. if needed i will reinstall and send my system info.

do you need my hardware specs, or do i have to install win7 first for it to help?

I just looked over the file and nothing seems wrong.

The one thing you didn't mention in trying to change was the cable.

Can you try another one to test?

But what really may fix it is installing the latest driver from NVIDIA's site instead of relying on Microsoft's version. Give it a try.

I have tried both, with no sucess, also when i play games it gets extremely worse, like spiky glitching of bright colors... it's very odd.

i found one more quick fix, wich is to go to the advanced graphics settings in win7 and turn off transparency. but even with xp and a transparency cover my pc is fine.

the problem must lie somewhere in win7 and compatibility with my hardware.

that fixes the desktop, but when i open steam and play games the screen keeps glitchin.

still the only complete solution is xp...

but i love win7 so much.

With your hardware, there's absolutely no reason to rely on any downgrade of Windows and its features. So we'll try to get this going right for ya.

If someone brought me a pc like that to try and fix, the first thing I would do it make sure all drivers on the system for everything are the newest I could find (including monitor.)

I'd update the bios to the latest I could find.

I'd check all the bios settings to make sure everything is optimally set. This includes correct timings and Vdimm for the specific memory modules in use. CPU-Z's SPD tab can tell you. Then visit the maker's site for the info. Adjust bios accordingly.

Also, I would inspect the motherboard visually. Although there's probably nothing wrong, it couldn't hurt.

From elevated command prompt, I'd run:

    sfc /scannow

Try these things and let us know if any helped.
