PC on a reboot loop after a BSOD!

My PC just had a BSOD, so I rebooted it. It booted up and then suddenly crashed and automatically start again.

When it started, after the ASUS screen it prompted me to choose Safe Mode or to Start Normally. I chose Start Normally, and it started to boot. In the Starting Windows screen, when the animation began, the PC crashed again and reboot. And this goes on in a loop.

If I select Safe Mode, the same happens except this time it crashes while the screen shows all the file names.

The PC is a Windows 7 Ultimate PC with an i3 and 4 GB RAM. No external GPU.

Please help with this situation, and it's very urgent too. I don't want to clean install as there are very important files in C:, and those are needed. Please help resolving this issue.

It can be many things so it's impossible to say what it is.
First try to make a check disk. Boot with the Win 7 installation disk, go to repair, command prompt and type chkdsk /f
Also run a quick memory test.
Does your CPU fan run normally?

What error codes are displayed on the screen?
