BSOD whilst playing games
Hey guys. So for the past few months whenever i play any games i eventually get BSOD.. sometimes 5 minutes in.. sometimes an hour in. I've downloaded blue screen viewer and got a couple of screenshots of a couple of different bsod's.. these 2 seem to be the only ones that come up. I tried running a ram tester and that came back with no errors.. Just wondering if anyone can decipher this for me.
Furthermore.. i don't know if this is related or not but if i leave my computer on for say a day or so, everything starts to lag.. videos start to stutter and there is just lag in general in everything i do.. once i restart it all comes good... for a while but then starts up again. I tried disabling every non essential startup program but it still does it. Thanks guys! Also.. i am trying to add the dump files but can't figure out how to gain permission to do so... Thanks for that Boris. Here is the zip. Sorry i'm a noob ![]() |

Hello mitsuk0 and welcome to 7 Forums!
Now it will be very hard to get to the bottom of your errors/BSODs without any files to examine. Please read through this thread and upload the required files so that we can help you: Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions Cheers, Boris ![]() |

Alright have had a look and one BSOD was caused by WinPcap and I would recommend you perform a clean installation of it.
Another BSOD was caused by dxgmms1.sys which is DirectX related, so please visit the Geforce site to download the latest drivers: Drivers | GeForce When installing new drivers, select custom install, tick box "perform clean install" and it should wipe the old drivers. You also had a couple of BSODs without cause but I noticed that you are running on a very outdated BIOS and this might cause some issues in some cases. I would recommend that you update it as well: P8Z77-V LK | Motherboards | ASUS Global Fill in your OS and the bit. Expand the BIOS link and download the "P8Z77-V LK BIOS 1402" file. And if you are unfamiliar with updating the BIOS, I would recommend that you watch this video: ASUS BIOS update how to That's all for now. Cheers, Boris ![]() |
