    BSOD when playing Dota

    Hey guys,

So I've been having this issue for a couple of years now where I can be playing Dota for any amount of time before my screens suddenly drop out like they've lost connection and begin to flash. My computer will run for a while longer given I can tell when I've got music playing but if I leave it for long enough it will fully crash/bsod.

This is a problem which tends to be bad for 2-3 weeks then it will be fine for a few months before reoccurring again.

I used to have x2 480gtx cards in, I always thought that was the problem so I always used to switch them out and the slots they were in, currently only have the one in. Decided to finally look into the problem a little more for the first time last night, looking at my most recent dmp file, the errors I was getting -

*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for nvlddmkm.sys
*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for nvlddmkm.sys
*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for win32k.sys
*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for win32k.sys
    Probably caused by : nvlddmkm.sys ( nvlddmkm+921828 )

I googled the nvlddmkm.sys issue and that seemed to point to a Nividia driver issue. I followed what was suggested online and did a clean install of my graphics card driver just before and as soon as I opened up Dota it crashed, usually it wouldn't happen until I'd connected to a server to start playing a game so if anything, it made it worse...

Any help/suggestions as to what would be causing this issue would be much appreciated.

    Hello dylan123.

Unfortunately we will not be able to help you in your situation as you are running a counterfeit installation of W7 and we don't support that here on the forum.

We would recommend that you install a new legit and fresh version of W7 and if you then still have the same issues then we will be most happy to help you!
