Not high. At max my CPU gets up to ~80, and my GPU gets up to ~75.

I have furmark and can run it with logs on if that would help.

That actually is quite high, according to the provided specs of Intel too high for your CPU.

When was the last time you cleaned your system and reapplied thermal paste?

    Been reviewing the event log
immediately prior to most shutdowns, the following driver has been loaded
File System Filter 'BHDrvx64' (6.1, ?2016?-?08?-?14T18:59:09.000000000Z) has successfully loaded and registered with Filter Manager.
from what i can find this is a Norton driver, which is currently not on your system.
also your running Beta software, User beware
    Program Files (x86)\\CEVO\\CSGO Client Beta"

Yeah, I figured out the problem (at least as far as I can tell).

It was a bad stick of ram, once taken out, not a single crash since.

Well, I did crash from my CPU overheating, but as it turns out there's a different type of error for the CPU overheating than just a regular BSOD, and it actually told me, 'CPU overheated, emergency shutoff' or something to that effect. That'll be fixed by me just going to Bestbuy/microcenter and grabbing some thermal paste in all likelyhood.

    Thank you for your help.

Hopefully that's the end of it. Pretty sure it is, but you never know.

Not sure if this counts as necro, but I'm still having the problem. I was waiting until I made absolutely sure that I'd done at least the obvious things (reinstalled windows, installed only necessary drivers, etc...) but it's still crashing and I still have no idea why.

    List of things I did:

Changed the ram (again). Pretty sure this stick is good, but I can check with memtest.

    Reloaded windows.

Rolled back drivers to 15.x something for AMD, then rolled them to the newest after that didn't work.

    Uploaded the DM log.

Something else that I've noticed is that my computer only seems to crash when I play Overwatch or have played Overwatch in the time it's been on.

I unfortunately have my warranty on my R9 390 coming up (December 1st), so if no one's got any advice on it in about ~2 days I'll send it back.

    Thanks in advance.

What is the temperature of the CPU when under stress?
    What cooler do you use?
    What PSU do you use?
    What case do you have?

    Temps: 90-100C

Cooler: Whatever stock cooler comes with the i7-4790k

    CX600 IIRC.

    Coolermaster variant I think?

    Thank you.

Are those temps under stress from a stress test program, while playing a game or something or other stress?

While playing games. Usually while idle it's about 70C.

Filling out the RMA right now, so while I haven't sent it back, unless it's something that you're relatively sure of will fix it and can easily be shown within the next day, I won't be able to test it for a few weeks.

    Thank you for your help.

I would recommend to get a better cooler, the temperature of the CPU needs to be lowered to max 65-70C.
