    Blue Screen of Death

Hello experts. I'm not sure if anyone here will know or not, but hopefully someone can give me a point in the right direction.

I got a new 8GB RAM chip a few days ago for my ThinkPad. I found it on Amazon. I know this is the right one for my machine (T430). After I popped the chip in, I've been seeing the Blue Screen of Death about 2x per day. I don't know what to do to prevent these catastrophic outcomes. I know the chip is the right one for my model and I know it is installed correctly. Is there any way to run a diagnostic on the chip, or something like that? Do I just send it back to the guy I bought it from? This makes my laptop run so, so, so much faster, but I don't want to deal with twice-a-day crashes. Any thoughts?

    As always, thanks.
