Surprise brief BSOD while reading a Yahoo.com e-mail

Last night, while reading what appeared to be a legit e-mail received via Yahoo over a FiOS FTTP internet connection and being read via Mozilla's SeaMonkey, v.2.40 browser/e-mail client, I had a sudden and seemingly temporary BSOD. I saved the Microsoft message that popped up in RTF format but DM collector program has apparently captured that info and a lot more. Having never seen anything like this, I am thoroughly baffled.

The PC involved is a 64 bit Dell Optiplex 780 with Windows 7-Pro, fully updated, with Kaspersky 2017 Internet Security s/w installed.

While I go back to the IBM PC-2/MS-DOS 6 era, I have never really understood any of the Windows NT variants that followed the Windows 9.x family.

Thanks, in advance, for any advice, explanations, or suggested follow-up actions.

0x116 BSOD's are video-related.

Check to ensure you have the latest video-driver installed (don't use BETA drivers). If so, the best I can recommend is reviewing this post to solve the issue:

My system presently includes a nVidea/Dell Quadro FX-540 video card. This card has an on-board fan on the card. If, as you indicate, the fault message indicated a video problem, could the fan on the video card failed or could the card have overheated for some reason? The PC has operated normally since the initial problem.

What should I be doing? Just wait for the failure to re-occur or something else?

Overheating is a possibility, but its far more likely to be a software/driver issue. Follow the suggestions posted in post #2 firstly.

OK, I'll try a different driver and see what happens.

The "new improved" Yahoo Mail isn't. In fact, it's vexing, mortifyingly slow, and no longer allows open folders while creating new messages so you can't copy and paste with both items open. Since Yahoo won't permit going back to the old, reliable version. So, I'm seriously considering a switch to...
