BSOD upon plugging in Ext. HD

I was using my seagate 500 GB external HD as additional space for my xbox one. I needed it to back up my lap top with it. I followed a forum and used "xbox one drive converter" to change it from xboxone to pc so that i could format it on my laptop. Now every time I plug it in to my laptop or my wife's stand alone pc which also has win 7, I get the BSOD. I attached an image of the blue screen and went ahead and ran that program that produces the zip file and attached it. This happens every time I plug in the device w/o fail on either of my pc's. All I want is to be able to reformat the HD so that I can use it to store life (videos, photos, and things like that which won't fit on my puny laptop). Thanks

Hi celsperman,

Please provide the link of the forum you used to 'convert'.

It's clear that this 'convertion' caused corruption in the system format.

Do you have another USB or something to install Linux on? You'll need to reformat the drive to be able to use it again, please note that this deletes all information present on the drive.

I have no clue about how to use Linux. What do you mean by another USB? There is nothing on the external so I can just format it.

This is solved.

A friend and I figured this out. So if you have this same issue listen up.
1. stick hard drive back in xbox one
2. reformat
3. stick drive back in computer
4. go to control panel
>system and security
>administrative tools
>computer management
5. click disk management
>make sure the unknown disk is selected
6. click intialize
7. right cick the drive and select single volume and just follow the wizard.
8. Done
No downloading any crazy crap that blue screens your computer. Took 5 minutes.
Thank you.
