Very infrequent BSOD with KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR

I have a very infrequent (few times a year) BSOD. Today it happened with the computer simply idling. It had a few programs running such as Thunderbird and Firefox but was not in use.

Google tells me this BSOD means "This Stop message indicates that the requested page of kernel data from the paging file could not be read into memory. This Stop message is usually caused by a bad block (sector) in a paging file, a virus, a disk controller error, or failing RAM. In rare cases, it is caused when nonpaged pool resources run out. It is also caused by defective hardware."

This computer is not configured with a paging file (never use anywhere near its 16GB of RAM), according to AVG it has no viruses, CrystalDiskInfo says the SSD is at 91% (is that acceptable?), and Memt86 says the RAM has no errors.

A reboot does not allow me to boot to Windows. Upon reboot (without cycling the power), I see a message along the lines of "enter setup and select a boot device" (forgot to write down the exact message). Powering the computer off and on allows the computer to boot.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Now there are others but lest get this one sorted first so can you please update the driver for you card
Access Denied < when you get to the link you will need to enter the OS type ie 7 64bit

After that can you please run these
SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker
Disk Check < if necessary include the /f and /r in the command line as per Option2
Run these in safe mode and the sfc often best run for two to three runs – you can leave out the /r switch in ckdsk if you feel it not necessary

Edit: Just looking at the post again the memtest did you let it run at least 8 passes? because if you did not then you will need to do that otherwise it is not worth running and I think the drive is getting too full if you let it get too full you might be stuck with a drive that cannot delete anything to clear space up.

One more thing can you please run these
SUPERAntiSpyware | Remove Malware | Remove Spyware - AntiMalware, AntiSpyware, AntiAdware!
Malwarebytes | Malwarebytes Premium
AdwCleaner Download
ADW download from bleeping computer delete any rubbish found with the malware scans
(NB If you are running Kaspersky as the main AV then it might need disabling it when trying ADW because it does not like it at times)

@ICIT2LOL, an almost 1 year old dump isn't quite useful

The first part is a problem, without a pagefile no dump can be created.

CrystalDiskInfo reads the SMART of the SSD, the SMART info is what we'd like to see.

Had a similar-ish problem today. Upon startup, the computer seemed to crash before login. As usual, a reboot did not solve the problem (asked for a boot disk), but turning the power off and then on again did make it work.

Unfortunately, there is no c:\windows\memory.dmp file, and there is no new file in c:\windows\minidump.

Hello PG mate it may have just been one those little glitches that happen from time to time.

What you could do id look inside the event viewer to check what is there for that time of the day.
So not wanting you feel dumb but in case you are not familiar with that -

Go to Start > type event viewer (normally it will pop up before you get past eve > click on it > then click on Custom Views > click on Administrative Events and then scroll down the listings to the time that the crash happened and there will be an explanation of that event see my pic

In my pic I should have added you are looking for critical events etc
