BSOD, Random times, Stop 03b, help please.

Hi, I get the BSOD (Stop.03B) ONLY with Chrome running, initially thought it was the flash player because Chrome would popup message that a flash plugin failed to load and usually very shortly after that the BSOD, but disabling Flash player in chrome didn't work.

I have already tried the following:
Ran DDU Nvidia driver cleaner and installed latest video card drivers from Nvidia website.
Set Chrome to disable hardware acceleration.
Set Chrome to run under Win7 compatibility under properties.
Set Chrome to use different codec (h264ify chrome extension)other than V9 when playing videos.
Disabled flash player in Chrome.
Ran Malwarebytes ANti-malware and Avast Antivirus scans, no issues found.
WhoCrashed pointed to ntoskrnl.exe and ntkrnlmp.exe.
I Ran Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool, no issues. CPU temps at 40C

Win7/64-bit/home premium edition. (6.1, Build7601)
Intel Celeron E3200@2.4Ghz(2 Cpus)4096 MB Ram, 4426 MB page file.
DirectX 11.

Realtek HD audio driver from the integrated motherboard says it is the latest (2013)
Can play win media player and will not get BSOD, so I don't believe it is the audio driver, even though it is old. (2013)

Tried to re-install adobeplayer, but their website says that I already have installed in Chrome, not sure how to re-install or update just the adobe flash to rewrite any corrupted files. ?
Also, my computer is 64bit and flash player says 32bit, not sure if that matters.

Considering if re-installing Chrome would fix.
Also, Someone suggested elsewhere it could be a need to go in mobo settings (Foxconn)and disable the onboard mobo integrated graphics setting since I have a GTX750i Nvidia card installed in a slot. (Haven't tried that yet)
And the card has been installed for a long time (>year) with no issues.
Another suggested to update DirectX , not sure how to do that either.

Anyone with similiar situation ?

Hello and welcome Surf mate now I this seems to be a hardware problem and one component springs to mind - memory. The dump file ntoskrnl.exe is very common and could be just about anything.

Now I know you have run the Windows memtest but it is not really that good and we only recommend the test listed below in my little ditty. Now I wrote this up for future use and is not menat to sound officious or anything - it just saves a lot of time typing it up over and over

MEMTEST
Now to make absolutely we are on the same page the memtest linked here is the*only*one we recommend and it MUST be run for at least 8 passes or you may as well not bother. It is rather lengthy and best left for a downtime for that machine - overnight is good. Having said that you can stop the test if errors show up while you are around and then it is a matter of tracking down the bad stick of RAM.* RAM - Test with Memtest86+

Just remember mate 8 passes unless you get the red errors show up..

Hi, thanks ICIT2LOL for the recommendation and will try if need to.
However I found something odd and that is this always occurs after a Nvidia driver update, always, within couple days.

I seen the other post writeup, and bookmarked, for Nvidia issues of how to disable Win Update from automatically installing drivers and switiching to let me decide. And will use that if need be. Then do the Memtest as you suggest if that doesn't work.

The thing is the BSOD is gone now. Something odd going on with Nvidia. after installing new Nvidia drivers (I hadn't noticed at first) but it had uninstalled the Monitor driver, even after I did a refresh of Windows Update and it said that everything was up to date, a day later Win Update says there is a new driver for my monitor (HP w2338h).
I checked the monitor display driver in devices before downloading the WU version, and it had reverted back to a basic plug and play monitor. Then I downloaded the WU version of the monitor driver and everything is fine now. Bizzare.

I will keep an eye on this. IF anyone else having these BSOD with Nvidia, check if it messes with your monitor driver.
Again, I did all this before my original post and WU didnt find anything till days later.

I will say that in the future I will make sure that I go into Device Manager and make sure that I do hardware refresh and manually right click each device and click update driver whenever I do a Nvidia driver update.

I will mark solved for now.
If someone could add Nvidia to the topic title, I would appreciate, may help someone else searching for the same issue.
