BSOD Page Fault 0x00000050 nvlddmkm.sys

Getting this error, i cant think of anything new i installed that would do this. Also a couple of months ago my CPU was overheating and i fix it by applying new thermal paste and my temps are normal now. Like i said i cant think of new hardware or software that would do this.

I uninstalled my vid drivers and installed them again. Please help, and thank you.

Ok BLUE the last dump posted is showing a problem with your graphics

Code:
*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for nvlddmkm.sys
*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for nvlddmkm.sys
Now I don't know what driver you have installed and I cannot link one for you because I do not know what card you have installed on that machine if there is one at all. So can you let us know where you got the driver please.

Ok BLUE mate the two links you sent me one is obviosly for the onboard graphics - the Intel HD graphics it isn't needed the other if it is for the NVidia then that is a very small driver file.

Can you do this for us so that we can pin down what graphic devices you have in that machine.
Using HW Info
PART A:
You can test the volts on the PSU with HW Info HWiNFO, HWiNFO32/64 - Download < download the right bit version and close the right hand window select Sensors and scroll down to the power section where you will see what the volts are doing see my pic. In my pic the section (Nuvoton) with VBATT as a dead give away you are in the section for the rail voltages. There are other section titles and one that pops up often is ITE (sometimes the usual one for Gigabyte boards)
Now the voltage on the different rails have to be within 5% =+/- of what is required or the machine will not work properly if at all.
Limits +/- (minimum - correct - maximum)
12v1 = 11.4 - 12 - 12.6v
12v2 = 11.4 - 12- 12.6v
5v = 4.75 5 - 5.25v
3.3v = 3.135 3 3.465v
-12v = -10.80 - -12 - -13.20v
+5VSB = 4.75 5 - 5.25v
The Power good signal voltage at pin 8 on the 24 pin plug (grey cable) should be the same as the 5v rail reading/s
See this for the rail voltage info
PSUs 101: A Detailed Look Into Power Supplies (Section 2.)
The original right hand window shows the machine running and is handy for that but for looking at the components in some detail close it and use the main left hand side panel
FOR OTHER COMPONENTS
PART B:
Open each small square with + in it on the section the components are in and then click on the individual component/s (it will highlight in blue) - in the right hand side will appear all sorts of details including brands speeds and other essential info that particular device. See pic for example.

Just use PART B: I have attached two pics to let you know how to find the graphics stuff as we need the exact model of NVidia card it is.

So BLUE mate is this the driver you sourced Drivers | GeForce and what I think is going on is that your machine has two graphics chips why the Intel one didn't show up in the HW Info run is a mystery.

I say this because I do have an Asus ROG gaming laptop at home (currently in hospital or I would attach a shot of that machines HW Info run) - it has two graphics chips one the Intel chip and also a NVidia 860M chip. Now I have been told that the Intel chip is the "casual use" chip and the NVidia only cuts in when the workload for the Intel gets too much.

I don't know if this is the case with your machine and again am a bit baffled as to why the Intel chip was not picked up. It could possibly be that there is only the NVidia chip in the machine of course and just why it is not accepting the driver is worrying and is making me think maybe there is something on board the machine that is stopping the driver from being installed.

so have you run any malware scans?? if not it might be worth trying these scans. I use these on a regular basis anyway to keep the system clean and clutter free plus detecting any nasties. But before that could you also run the sfc and chkdsk
SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker
Disk Check < if necessary include the /f and /r in the command line as per Option2 (if you are going to use the /r switch there is no need for the /f switch)
Run these in safe mode and the sfc often best run for two to three runs you can leave out the /r switch in ckdsk if you feel it not necessary

if no fix then these

SUPERAntiSpyware | Remove Malware | Remove Spyware - AntiMalware, AntiSpyware, AntiAdware!
Malwarebytes | Malwarebytes Premium
AdwCleaner Download
ADW download from bleeping computer delete any rubbish found with the malware scans
(NB If you are running Kaspersky as the main AV then it might need disabling it when trying ADW because it does not like it at times)

Apparently, according to this website, there is a big problem with Nvidia "Geforce" Video drivers not being able to install correctly; even though its the right one.

2 Methods to Fix “NVIDIA Installer Failed” for GeForce video cards

Im a bit frustrated right now from all the tinkering but ill look at it more tomorrow. I don't know why i got the BSOD, cuz ive been using the onboard driver for years with no problems.

Hmm yep it is very frustrating I know and I was just wondering if there is not something sitting in your system interfering with the driver installation - did those malware scans come up with anything??

So if not then I would myself run this first up an there are more intensive scanners for malware that is embedded in the RAM BIOS etc etc These other scanners run in a non Windows environment and so are not affected by any Windows settings. But first this https://support.kaspersky.com/viruses/disinfection/5350
