    atikmpag.sys, dxgkrnl.sys, and dxgmms1.sys - Win 7x64

    Hi Guys,

Here we go, I am getting constant BSOD with atikmpag.sys, dxgkrnl.sys, and dxgmms1.sys. Sometimes its erratic, sometimes its when playing an online video. Firstly, my computer is up to date with updates, adware and antivirus protection. Ive never had this error but it started after i took my videocard apart and cleaned it. Computers temp were normal, videocard temp was under 50 even under stress. Heres what I tried:

    - Tried a clean install of video card driver
    - cleaning video card again, putting it in and securing it propley
    - Furmark Stress test
    - Updated motherboard bios
    - Win7 has all the updates
    - Ran sfc chk disk
    - Did everything else in other threads which I have searched for with same problem

    Dump file attached, cheers

    All to no avail.

    Any help is appreciated.

Hello and welcome aymanibousi can you please redo the dump files as there is nothing in the zip you attached.

    Just follow these please.
Dump Files - Configure Windows to Create on BSOD
    &
Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions

Now just to start with the dump you mentioned - atikmpag.sys is a graphics issue and the usual suggestion is to uninstall the Catalyst Control Centre and use the driver for the GPU only.
So is this the driver you have installed?
    APU

It might be an idea to run these too
SUPERAntiSpyware | Remove Malware | Remove Spyware - AntiMalware, AntiSpyware, AntiAdware!
    Malwarebytes | Malwarebytes Premium
    AdwCleaner Download
ADW download from bleeping computer delete any rubbish found with the malware scans
(NB If you are running Kaspersky as the main AV then it might need disabling it when trying ADW because it does not like it at times)

Now just as by the by if the dive doesn't fix the issue then it might be an idea to disable the AV while you install the driver.

But the dumps are the important things we need.

Hi Thank you for your reply.

I did read the BSOD guide, I did the DM logger , but it comes up with empty zip, strange!

Anyways, ill try installing driver without catalyst,

I use avira, ill disable it, , i already have malware bytes, will run it again,

    here are dump files attached

    Thank you

Ok mate now I cannot open that RAR zip either and I am wondering if you use CCLeaner software or the Disk Cleanup function as they will clear any dump files so if you do then it might be an idea to not use them for the time being.

The atikmpag.sys, dxgkrnl.sys, and dxgmms1.sys you posted are useful insomuch that the first as I posted already is a graphical issue the dxgkrnl etc are graphical issues but are linked to Windows updates and therein are going to be difficult to track down.

Now what you can do now is run these if you haven't already now it is sometimes advised that the SFC is run for three runs as it can sometimes miss stuff - don't ask me how but that is something I have come across a few times now.
SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker
Disk Check < if necessary include the /f and /r in the command line as per Option2 (if you are going to use the /r switch there is no need for the /f switch)
Run these in safe mode and the sfc often best run for two to three runs – you can leave out the /r switch in ckdsk if you feel it not necessary

Just one thing you can check please - see this quote from a Google site

To view your settings select Start, Control Panel, System, Advanced System Settings, Advanced, StartUp and Recovery, Settings, System Failure, - see the pic I have attached and let us know if this is how your settings are set up.

Huh,, i could open it just fine, ill try now, the minidump files are still in C:\windows\minidump, i dont use ccleaner

Didnt know it was a windows update issue as mines up to date,

    ill upload again

I cant see the image btw

Edit: I see the image, mines on complete memory dump, thats about the only other option

Edit 2: Tried expansion of Atik file but cmd could only do it to 89% for some reason, could someone expand 100% of the file for me?

Ok mate now the update issue is not that you do not have any updates more that sometimes the updates cause the issues

Now I cannot open the RAR files simply because I don't have the software to do that and I cannot understand why it keeps going to the RAR file system anyway if you follow the tutorials.

The other thing is what I can gather from your post is that there is a problem with your graphics and that is why I posted that link for the card and why it is suggested that if you have the Catalyst Control Centre installed then uninstall it.

Also did you try disabling the Avira security while you in stalled the driver from that link as it has the possibility of interfering with the installation - you can turn it back on again after that is done.
