    follow this link to update
MEDION - Enjoy tomorrow's technology today

Coral paint Pro is also hiccuping, uninstall for the moment.
so is your HP printer software

Your Updates are running under W10 mode, and shouldn't be, where did you get your install media its not the original set-up.

    Hi

I have uninstalled-reinstalled the nVidia driver but I am pretty sure the BIOS version is the latest
    one from 2010.
I have sent an email to ASUS to check

    Cheers

I do not understand what "Your Updates are running under W10 mode" means.

The PC has been in constant use since it was purchased, (except for two HDD failures) it had Vista home premium installed and working well until recently when I installed W7 because the Vista OS just would not install updates, they failed continually despite going through every fix I could find. (and I learned that the MS Answers forum is a waste of time)

The W7 install media was purchased in the US, while I was working there, for a now defunct PC.

    Cheers

    Hi

I cannot find any BIOS updates on the link you gave me.

"Getting rid of the W10 mode is easily resolved" I cannot find any information on this.

Yes the current OS was installed on 25/12/16, is this significant?

I have checked and PSP8 was playing up so I have uninstalled and reinstalled it,
    thanks for the heads up.

    Cheers

Your Bios is the ONLY one they issued.
not surprising really, Medion driver support is as usefull as a grain of sand on Bondi beach.
(OOOOPs did i mention ive got one)

As for the w10 mode, please install the KB from this link

    Hi

Thanks for your help, I remove the W10 upgrade thing.

BTW, I bought a Medion Laptop at the same time and it is going strong as well.

    Very happy..
