Completely sporadic BSODs, BCCode a

Hey there,
my bf's comp has been randomly getting bluescreens for a while now and I'm having a real hard time pinpointing the issue.

They're generally always IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL ones, but occur at random times and it's really tough to find the culprit.

Sometimes the system runs stable for over a week, other times, it's 4 or more BSODs a day and they're not tied to any specific action, as they even happen at the logon screen, sometimes.

Windows is fully updated, we've ran memtest and updated pretty much every driver imaginable, removed USB devices, but it keeps happening.

First step

Warning

Programs that claim to update your drivers install either the wrong or corrupted drivers.
If you have installed any driver with Driver Booster 4, please remove them as it may cause trouble.

An easy way to get remove these drivers is by using a restore point prior the installation.

Driver Booster 4 is one of many horrible programs by IOBit.

Pleas follow axe0 instructions and hope that IOBit hasn't caused to much damage.

The issue was actually there, way before we tried that to update the drivers. Rolling back did nothing.

(And huh, almost everywhere I check online, I read that Driver Booster is actually decent, compared to all other tools of that kind)

No offense, but try to explain that to those who have had BSOD issues thanks to IObit software. I remember someone whose issues got resolved after uninstalling all IObit software.
All programs of this kind is never recommended by those who do a little research. If you'd like, I can post a few links to posts of security analysts who explain why IObit software is not recommended to use and what the recommended alternative is for every function of each program, though I can name the alternatives of course too :)

None taken, it's just that that's the one I've seen suggested A LOT for searching driver updates, with claims that it doesn't mess up things "like all the others"

And well, while it's not the main issue here, if you can recommend a good driver update tool, I'll gladly take it.

(We're considering either reinstalling, or trying the Win10 upgrade, at this point, since, over the last three days, the BSODs have become super frequent)

The best source for drivers is the official source, meaning you can get the right drivers from the support page of MSI.
You can get 99% of the drivers from the motherboard manufacturer, for the GPU it is either Intel, AMD or NVIDIA. For any other, such as peripheral, check the official support page of the manufacturer for drivers.

Check MSI for BIOS updates and drivers.
