Go to msconfig, click the Startup tab and uncheck all entries except fir your ant-virus software, spyware detector and personal firewall if you have one.

Are you looking for a specific program to stop running?

Although, msconfig only disables it, it won't get rid of it.

Tried checking the task manager, processes tab, and ending any that are associated with 3rd party software?

Hopefully if your experienced enough with computers, youll know which ones to give the toss. If not, post up a screenshot, and i'll see what i can do.

Sure you can end the process, but it will come back on restart unless you take care of it permanently.

Try downlodinthis freeware App called anvir:

I would have mentioned CCleaner, has the Start-up manager, and you can delete the ones you don't want to boot.

No offense, as I use CCleaner as well, but this anvir program is much more powerful.
