Win 7 64bit BSOD at shut down - cannot generate BSOD using tool

I built a new ASUS X99-E-WS desktop but went backward and installed my OS of choice Win 7. Most things worked find and/or have been fixed during the past week of loading sw programs and troubleshooting bugs. Later in the day yesterday I added the ASUS ultilty for fanXpert which appeared to work. Restore was set up for the C:\ drive on day one and many restore points have been created with Win updates and adding SW.

Last night it shut down properly (or so I thought) This morning I had no video from my surviellance camera (composite RCA plug input via a Hauppauge ImpactVCB, model 71200 PCIe card). I then tried using my alternate connection a old Sony camcorder with RCA composite video in and firewire out. The win 7 machine did not have access via the microsoft input on ispy. When restarting the first two times, I had to use the reset button. The third time I let it sit there for what seemed like 10 min which ultimately resorted to a BSOD. I downloaded the dump tool and ran it and it got to one of the further steps and stopped which yielded yet another BSOD.

After going into another start I tried to go back and use restore to back out what was added late in the day yesterday - RESTORE REPORTS IT IS SHUT OFF. I reset it for C:\ drive but it reports NO RESTORE POINTS HAVE BEEN CREATED ON YOUR COMPUTER SYSTEM DRIVE.

    Any suggestions?

I was unable to open the debug tool as it crashed again. After the last reboot and since restore has been set to "OFF" by something, I went into the programs in control pane and sorting by date installed noted that there were THREE items I installed late on Monday
    1) the ASUS Suite 3 (I was looking for fan expert)
    2) ASUS version of CPUID
    3) some version of .net something or other

I deleted all of them and am not back to normal with all video setups restored

When your system crashes, a true BSOD, it shows an error code, without the error code troubleshooting is useless because there is no clue if we're even close.

I understand you can't run the DM Log Collector, but you can give the information that I ask.

Hopefully there are two txt files attached as saved by the BlueScreenView program/app. I am not sure I saved the appropriate lines of data in the BlueScreenView file, as there didn't appear to be a way to save the entire file - OR are you asking for the dmp files themselves?

There is a chance that some of that older hardware might not work with your X99 mobo (i.e. Hauppauge) Have you tried physically disconnecting the peripherals and giving it a reboot?

AFAIK, those files are listing drivers only, not the actual BSOD error code.

If you are able to boot the system, follow Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions - Windows 7 Help Forums
