Overclocking won't fix the issue, rather the opposite...

RAM automatically downclocks to the speed the CPU supports, but what would cross my mind is if the RAM supports a downclock of 600MHz.

    What is your RAM model?

What I note from the specs provided, your RAM may be incompatible with the CPU specs.
The CPU support up to 2400 while your specs say 3000.

I do not know if this is due to overclocking or not, if it is due to overclocking revert back to the SPD.

    Hi,
One thing that might not be done by default is running at 1.35v which if switched to xmp profile 1 it would be and toning down the dram ... would be a nice test.
Otherwise you could have gotten a bad stick did you run memtest 86+ over night if not how many passes did you run ?
Are you sure you're in the correct slots refer to the mobo manual for which ones to use for 2 sticks.
Thanks, I'll test that out tonight then.

I tried booting with both sticks individually and both gave me bluescreens, so I don't think it's the stick. I didn't run memtest overnight, but I ran 2 passes for each stick individually. 0 errors

Yes, I'm sure that I'm in the correct slots for dual channeling (A2 and B2).

A note, our recommendation is 8+ passes.

This is the exact RAM I bought:
    VengeanceĀ® LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 DRAM 3000MHz C15 Memory Kit - Black (CMK16GX4M2B3000C15)

The site says it's compatible with x99 and 100 series motherboards, but a lot of people say that information is outdated and that it's compatible with the 200 series as well.

You'll want to use only 1 stick only, due to compatibility with the motherboard.

Further, your RAM runs at 2133MHz SPD which is good meaning no compatibility issues.

This, however, also means that there is a faulty part somewhere.
You may be able to use Ultimate Boot CD - Overview for hardware testing. It has a lot of tests I normally suggest to run.

All right, thanks for the link. I'll do some tests over the next couple days to see if I can get to the bottom of this.

Thanks for all the help, everyone. I finally managed to get the computer working. The problem was actually a faulty CPU. Once I swapped that out with a new one, it worked perfectly.

I'm curious if the cpu pins looked perfect or not. The only bad cpus I've seen recently had slightly bent pins.
