You're correct, it depends on what USB port you use.
In this case, though, it is about the Asmedia one

Ok, so when I went to download and install the Asrock USB 3.0 drivers, it had asked me to either repair or uninstall, so sounds like i already had it installed.

I just went ahead and repaired it.

Was that good?

Actually, I went ahead and uninstalled and then reinstalled the driver. I am showing latest is 2012 on the Asus driver website, can you please confirm if this is correct?

I would not recommend beta BIOS versions, let's first see how it goes.

Will do! I posted this same forum on bleeping computer.com and one of the replies or suggestions was downloading the 3.0 Driver (which you suggested) and also possibly updating the bios.

So far, since sunday afternoon, no BSOD, so hopefully we are in the clear, will keep you posted.

Thanks again for your help!!! Very much appreciated!!

It seems like this person, bwv848, didn't do a little research on the BIOS. You have the newest BIOS outside of beta versions, a beta BIOS could risk stability, as is pointed out on their website.
Beta versions of a BIOS is only recommended if one tests it for them, or if there is a very specific issue that could be fixed in a beta version (which again could lead to potential other issues).

Since you reinstalled the latest 3.0 Asmedia USB driver, let's first see how it goes before doing anything else

Is it possible to do with the sata ports and the boot order in bios according to what port your ssd / hdds are on? Make sense?? lol maybe I have no idea what I'm talking about. Starting to really get frustrated
