    BSOD's haunting Win7 x64... video driver?

Hello good people, first of all i wish to thank you all for spending your free time helping us... We realy appreciate it!

    To the point now:
    There's this friend's PC:
    *Gigabyte GA-H67MA-USB3-B3
    *Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2310 CPU
    *8GB RAM (2 x 4GB Kingston DDR3-1333)
    *XFX Radeon HD 6750 GPU
    *Win 7 x64 SP1 with all updates

which occasionaly throws BSOD's... they don't happen very often...

The logs generated by DM collector are attached... can anyone shed some light on this?

Hello and welocme porpo mate I can see form opening the last dump there is a graphics issue but beofre we go any further you list Windows 10 as the OS in your specs so can you confirm you are ot not using 10 or is it 7.

Now assuming it is 7 then there is this

Now again assuming the system is 7 then the suggested fix for this is to uninstall the Catalytic Control Centre and run the machine on the driver for the card alone.
This is the driver for that card now do not install the CCC just the driver.

Hello mate! I'm running Win10 on my computer, but the faulty one is a friend's computer with win 7 x64.
After that crash you mention I updated the driver to the latest one (downloaded from amd.com) including the CCC app, which now has another name i think....

Since then (about 5 days ago) the computer is running smoothly.... Ran AIDA64's stress test for hours, ran memtest86+, and as the problem happened almost always at boot, i created a reboot script that runs when windows starts... so it has been permanently rebooting for about 3 days now with no BSODs.

I came here to find out what those dumps say about the errors, and if all of them point to graphics driver... then perhaps i already can return the computer to my friend

Yes mate I have an idea what you mean is the Crimson software I don't think it includes the CCC if it does it just means uninstalling it through the Control Panel.

Oh and well done you did well!!

If you want to make the machine a tad better for him too have a look at this
    USING OPTIMISE TUTORIAL
Just a little something that will make your machine a little faster and more efficient is this Optimize Windows 7 - Windows 7 Help Forums
It is my bible when installing an OS on my machines and also when I am fixing friends and family machines too.
Now if you go through it slowly you will find lots of tweaks and they are all really thoroughly done by the authour Brink a fellow who is in my mind brilliant and if you need to ask questions he is just the most obliging person around.
The other thing is that you may lose some of the "bling" such as transparency (you don't have to I find it unnecessary) and all the tweaks are reversible.
If you do get stuck just post back in that tutorial and you will get help. Another bonus using this tutorial is that it helps you find your way around your machine and Windows 7!
Just one tip I would say you start with is do this Registry - Backup and Restore - Windows 7 Help Forums do this and it will save you a lot of grief if you are ever doing things in the registry and even if you don't it is a good back up to have if your system ever gets corrupted.

Great! thanks a lot! I will take a look at that optimization thread.

The computer still runs fine, so I'm marking this as solved.

    Thank you!

Ok mate now that tutorial will really make a difference as long as I said you don't mind losing some of the bling like transparency which I personally think is unnecessary.

But anyway I am gad you still have a proprely functioning machine.
