Starter 2010 hyperlink execution causing bluescreen crashing system

    Hi,

For some odd reason since the 14-12-2017 every time I execute a hyperlink in starter 2010 Word or Excel cause a bluescreen and crash of the system, rebooting and displaying the safe mode, the bluescreen is all about error STOP 0x00000019, I ran a full diagnostic finding that memory and storage facilities are 100%

I did some trial and error procedures, such as restoring my OS from my last monthly backup, 1-12-2017 which I knew my system was working fine, I work with excel and word documents all the time, using hyperlinks often. After restoring the OS, excel and word were working fine until suddenly the issue of executing hyperlink starts again. Also I restored my OS, then clean my register as well. Also I restored my OS and ran Windows Update., , I repaired and reinstalled Starter 2010,. not matter what i do , the hyperlink issue is recurrent.

Is there anybody that has a clue of what is going on? , Any instruction to tweak my system?

    Thanks in advance

MS update installs a verification file to check if Office is genuine. Is your Office genuine?

    Thanks for the tip.
My ms starter 2010 comes with my laptop. genuine 110%, I've been using it for the last 7 years, as I said I ran a repair and reinstalled it. Hyperlink crashing my system started from a week ago. I restored my OS from my monthly backup 1/12/2017 and worked fine for a few hours then out of the blue the hyperlink issue happened again.

A Hyperlink trigger to start a program, in this case I suppose it is a web browser.
Right click on the desktop, new - Shortcut.
Put a web address on the location - next - type a name for it.
Test if the shortcut opens the web browser to the specified address.

    Hi,
I tried that one, also I tried in yahoo mail, creating a link, executed and not issues, also I executed hyperlinks from pdf files, not problem, so apparently, this issue is in ms starter 2010 environment, however as I mentioned before I fixed ms starter 2010, also I uninstalled, clean register, reinstalled, same issue.

Mine started doing exactly the same thing today as well. I am running windows 7 and using the 2010 office starter. Whenever I click on a link in in either excel or word, the computer freezes for a couple seconds, blue screens, and reboots itself. This is happening in an excel file that I have used for years. Have tried with both chrome and explorer browsers and same result. All of my windows 7 updates are current. Any ideas?

Hi, As I mentioned before, Knowing that my OS Dec monthly backup was with no issues, I restored my OS from.
Things were looking ok for a while, using my normal spreadsheet hyperlink was not getting any problem, but then out of the blue after clicking a hyperlink it went to the very quick process, sometimes it is possible to see a little bar showing the progress of the process, specially when there is a wrong link, anyhow and then bang, bluescreen, and then safe mode menu.
So I think somehow something gets corrupted, I uninstalled ms starter 2010, cleaned the register, reinstalled, I'm still having the same issue, please note that only it happens with Word and Excell, even when creating new hyperlinks in a blank doc, hyperlinks in pdf, emails, etc are working fine.
    ODD !!!!!

"Me too"....BSOD when executing a hyperlink from Starter2010 apps (Word, Excel) and using (specifically) Chrome. I've been seeing this BSOD consistently since taking in some Windows updates about a week ago. Another slim-chance factor: installed a software package for a CSR Bluetooth adapter device two weeks ago, which has since been uninstalled that but didn't remove the BSOD. Just want to note that there is no BSOD if I change to IE for my default browser. Not a long-term solution though as I've seen many issues with IE bogging down. So, can anyone else verify that this may be strictly starter2010 ---> Chrome? So far, I've done a Chrome reset (no help) but that's about it for my moves to resolve.

This is happening for me also. BSOD when clicking a hyperlink from Excel or Word (2010). Chrome is my default browser. Any help appreciated!

    EDIT: added diagnostic files. Thanks!
