    I can try that, but the whole point of using the dock is to avoid additional connections.

    Same thing whether mouse/keyboard are plugged into dock or directly into laptop. If the laptop lid is closed (power settings to do nothing, of course) the mouse right clicks for when being left clicked. And can't click on anything to open. Could replacing the mobo have any merit?
