BSOD error 0x0000007F / Infinite Boot Loop
Hello,
Within the past couple days, my PC has stopped booting to Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit). It will either freeze on the Windows logo just before the desktop or shown or it will crash as soon as the desktop/cursor appears and gives a BSOD error 0x0000007F. I'm able to boot to safe mode OK, but my options there appear to be pretty limited to resolve this issue. Google suggests that this error code could be hardware-related, and I have recently installed a USB wireless adapter. I've removed the adapter, and this did not solve the problem. I'm not able to remove the CISCO and Realtek drivers that were installed along with it in safe mode. Similarly, I tried to update my GPU driver, but I'm running into issues in safe mode that prevent it from installing due to not being digitally signed. When I try to temporarily disable requiring a digital signature, it immediately boots to Windows (not safe mode), so that won't work.
I ran the Windows Memory Diagnostic tool, but when it was done running, it tried booting to Windows, and I never saw the result of that test. I tried reverting to a recent restore point (prior to the install of the wireless drivers), and that also did not help. At this point, I'm out of ideas, so I'm hoping someone here can help. Thanks in advance!
