Windows 7: Random BSODs, unsure of cause, error 0x00000124

Random BSODs, unsure of cause, error 0x00000124

So these random blue screens have been happening for about 2 weeks now. At first I thought it was my GPU so I upgraded my graphics card (it was about time to upgrade anyway) from ASUS strix GTX970 to MSI Gaming X GTX1080 8GB and that didn't solve it.

I started reading online about this error code, and how it was a hardware-related issue. I read that some people have solved their problem by cleaning out their computer of dust because it was a heat-related issue for them, and others re-seated their RAM and drives. I cleaned out my tower of dust, re-applied thermal paste, and re-seated my RAM and SSD today, and still got the BSOD twice today.

I am getting these BSODs after about 2 or 3 hours of non-gaming use, and within 1 hour while gaming. Really not sure what to do from here, please advise.

Random BSODs, error 0x00000124, caused by ntoskrnl.exe
Randomly happens, sometimes in a game, sometimes when browsing, sometimes when RDP'ed in, sometimes when unattended. No repro steps yet, just be patient and it will happen. Sometimes when it blue screens, it takes the whole network down spamming the switches and router with packets.

Random BSODs, error 0x0000001e, 0x00000124 and 0x0000000a
My self built computer has been producing bsods at random times since I reinstalled Windows last month. I generally ignore them and restart until the last one which happened in the middle of a gaming session. I noticed that two of the bsods I had were similar and most of them point to ntoskrnl.exe....

Random BSoDs, unsure of error code.
Hi there! I've gotten some random BSoDs the last couple of days (and a few other instances before that), and I'm wondering what's wrong and what I can do to fix it. I didn't catch the error code, nor am I sure where I can find that, so I apologize if that information was required in the thread...
