Receiving both BSOD & BSOD Blue Screen of Death & Blank ScreenofDeath

Hi Everyone!

Thanks again to all who have been nice to help me...

I guess HDD is dying slowly (or faster?)

Right up front: Here are my DM Log Collector information (latest ones since I did last one on April 22, 2018).

COMPUTER-NAME-Tue_05_15_2018__01540_17.zip

Symptoms I've experienced since this weekend (May 12 to May 14 2018 for those reading in future) :

When I turn on computer..... and walk away for a few hours to do other jobs (leaving it just on desktop---nothing running and not time for either of my AV to be running)

I will return to find either one of these two things has happened:

1. A totally blue screen (note my screensaver color is "blue" so not to be confused with BSOD) and all (100%) of my icons and sys tray at bottom of the page are just vanished! (HDD light that I complained about is NOT running solid orange color...intermittently flickering)

OR

2. I will find a totally BLACK screen with power light on (HDD light that I complained about is NOT running solid orange color...intermittently flickering)

Third event is whenever I'm running Google Chrome---I don't leave it on and leave the room "EVER AGAIN" as if I do... it just overloads the memory and I get a Page Memory failure and "your computer has been shut down to prevent loss of the data or computer" message

I NEVER got a crash dump from this BSOD Crash screen. Its been happening more and more that they say "Crash Dump FAILED". But now I don't even get that! (I posted the others in other threads if you want to see those I can put them here too) Now I'm getting more of the "nothing at all" after letting this sit here for 1 hour I finally put the computer out of its misery of struggling to get a crash dump by pressing hard the hard power reset button! See Screenshot p5 below for error codes again....

Thanks for reading a short message.

Otherwise! Many of the small problems (except mail client died which I have to write back my long answer....sorry!) have been solved... so I'm hopeful there is some solution for this....

Oh, for those who don't want to read my long other threads I've been asked in this thread: Reinstalling Win 7 professional over old Win 7 Professional without - Windows 7 Help Forums
to run "FRST" Farbar Recovery Scan Tool... Download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool but I had many questions! I just found that someone replied to my questions so I will be running that "right away!" and posting the answers in that thread for you to view too.

So I appreciate and try to follow directions when I'm given them!

AND THE program S.M.A.R.T. Does not work when I try to run it... See details in Post #52 of my thread: Excessive Read Write overloading HDD - Windows 7 Help Forums

Thanks again to all who are trying to fix the little laptop!

P. S. Message for those who already know me here.... I am just "worried" that when I'm ready, when I have purchased my new External HDD larger drive---and I copy off the badly damaged HDD from the Laptop using MACRIUM (either copy or disk image version) that this constant dropping dead of the computer will impact the quality of the copy.
Yes, I know how to check box for "validate" the copy.
But --last time I did this (and did not validate it because I was afraid the length of time it would take potentially would destroy the drive) it took 21 hours to just copy over the entire "C:" drive, with no validation time added to it..
So I'm just checking to confirm or deny if there is anything I can do to "fix" these problems so I don't have to keep re-starting over and over where I left off the MACRIUM--as I feel more confident if the program is not interrupted during its copying every hour or so when the computer goes to one of the blank or blue screen states as described above (Of course I would NOT NOT use Google Chrome or any browser at same time I'm running the computer copying a disk image).

PSS: Here is my latest BSOD Screenshot/photo:

Receiving both BSOD & BSOD Blue Screen of Death & Blank ScreenofDeath-bsod-bsod-third-choice-another-example-dsc00233.jpg

I copied this line out:
STOP 0x0000007E (0xFFFFFFFFC0000006, 0xFFFFF8000375E8BA, 0xFFFFF880009A9808, 0xFFFFF880009A9070)

I did this newest BSOD as I was hoping that I'd find out WHICH driver(s) [as the message advises me] are failing or some more information using those other error codes under the "STOP" command line reported to me...

Might as well give it a try while waiting!

I was told I could get answers by Googling these numbers...

Well as you can see below... All I get is answers to the STOP 0x0000007E part of the message only

Not the others!

Again, I'm not a good Googler...

So I posted a link or two to say something about what they offered...

- - - - - -

I've been told to Google the error message and so today I di that for this one...

Look what I found ...

I read this one....But I don't know if I am capable to do everything that person did to solve the problem!

QUESTION: How to tell when a "driver" was installed...and what was the last driver installed on this computer? I have no new purchased hardware (I have a "dongle" as I mentioned I burnt out a USB hole trying to endlessly "Fix" a dying iPad and you must pull the iPad in and out of "iTunes" until you wear out the USB hole trying to fix it (or give up as I did and buy a new iPad for $Apple$ bills (you know the ones with Steve Jobs in the center as the denominations are very high)....

I found this other forum (HTG since been moved, but the 5 year old solved answer is still here)

https://www.howtogeek.com/forum/topi...top-0x0000007e

Its a sad day losing the use of the only modern computer I have to contact the Internet:

But "HAPPY"

I did my usual back door tricks (I said I can't follow all the meaning of everything on those instructions, but I have a few tricks of my own I learned over the years...)

And I got the computer running like normal again...

I never use "hibernation " or "sleep buttons" The Screen does go dark to save screen burn from occurring but all other types were canceled byt he seller of the computer saying "you don't need them" OK< so I never used any of those buttons on the keyboard...they are all dead to touch anyway...do nothing!

[Another suggested method of solving this (I included it as someone took the time to explain in detail why and how this Error occurs....What I don't like is the suggestion for updating the BIOS---as was told here or elsewhere (I forget) not to upgrade the BIOS anymore as it will upset other things on the computer...)

http://www.tech-faq.com/0x0000007e.html

Which again all proves why I prefer GREATLY PREFER! The help here at Windows Seven Forums (and should I go to Windows 10 I'd use the sister site of Windows Ten Forums for any questions about operating or fixing Windows 10!)

Hi XP VM USER,

The reason for the error 0x7E you get is because a request performed an operation with the hard drive to get information. The first parameter of the error 0x7E is (excluding F's) 0xC0000006 meaning "the required data was not placed into memory because of an I/O error", in other words due to an error getting data from the hard drive into the memory an operation could not complete.

The error 0xC0000010 in the screenshots wherein Windows fails to make dumps means Windows was unable to find the drive that was specified to save the data on.

The 0x7A is a kernel data inpage error, in this case it's because a file was marked as 'pending deletion' where it received a non-close operation request at the same time. Whatever happened, something was working on it and the file was ready to be deleted, opposite actions that Windows couldn't handle.

The 0xF4 is a crash that means that a file marked as critical by Windows was terminated unexpected, Windows marks a few files as 'critical' in order to protect itself as it can't do much without those files. Termination could be due to the file itself being modified or the data it is using being modified by something that was not authorized to do that, like malware or failing hardware such as a drive or RAM.

Shortly, you're hard drive is very likely causing issues, as you suspected.
