    BSOD - after restarting computer

I restarted my Laptop- pc and BSOD stated happening at windows start-up. The BSOD says atikmdag.sys caused it. I try-ed to purge all graphic card drivers with DDU- from guru3d site , when i reinstall AMD graphic drivers ( 17.1., 17.3. , and the newest ones from AMD ) the BSOD happens mid installation caused by atikmdag.sys . When i look my devices in safe mode i see there bout my graphic cards Intel 620 and AMD R7.
I tried to restore system, but the only restore point i have is just minutes-before i restarted my PC ( maybe some other update happend, in the afternoon AVIRA antivirus asked me to restart the PC). Shud i reinstall win or is it a hardwere problem ?

    PZ help.

I suspect you have a faulty CPU, there is a consistent L2 cache error on Proc 0 Bank 6 - I checked six of the 0x124 hardware stopcodes to be sure.

As philc43 indicated there are many bugcheck with WHEA 0x124 with GCACHEL2_ERR_ERR

There were multiple non Whea bugchecks displaying problems with AMD GPU drivers but the msinfo32 displayed the use of the Intel graphics.
What happened to the AMD GPU card?
Was it turned off in the BIOS?
    Is it malfunctioning?
    Was it removed?

    Bugcheck 50: Wed Aug 1 11:28:34.060 2018 (UTC - 5:00) Atikmdag

    Bugcheck 7e: Sun Jul 22 21:10:49.452 2018 (UTC - 5:00)
    displayed multiple misbehaving drivers:
    regfilter.sys
    avipbb.sys
    Netwsw04.sys

    Please perform the following steps:

Nothing was turned off in bios , i even reset the bios to factory settings.
I cant remove the amd card ( laptop ), i just cleaned the dust from the ventilator 1-2 day ago before the crash , like i do ewry 6 months .
The intel 620 probably displays some errors, as there are no drivers from intel for win 7 ( so you have to install a bit modified ones, i probably shud upgrade to win 10 ... ), the pc was ruining ok for 1+ year with no problems at all.
Yesterday i have run full diagnostic at the start up with dell diagnostics , and no problems were detected.
I also installed cpu test-program from intell and there were no problems at all. Tryed to run windows memory test, and all was ok.
    1. I will try to clean up the drivers , like you mentioned.
    2. Will try to run ram test from usb for a few hours.
    3. Gona try forcefully test AMD GPU in safe mode.
    4. Preparing to reinstall Win, with full format of main disc (scan for bad sectors)

If nothing of this works , well i guess AMD GPU or VRAM is broken.

Tx you for your time , will report back .

Try gpedit.msc, so you can install your own drivers for the graphics card, without windows overriding it.
    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...alling-drivers

But, since you mentioned it BSODs during boot, try pressing F8 to boot into Windows with command prompt. Go to the registry, "regedit". Go to hkey local machine, (File menu, and Load Hive in offline mode). The graphics driver would be in the Services key, or maybe you can search for it. Once found, click on the key and change it to decimal 4.
Then unload hive from file menu.

    Or https://mattterrabyte.wordpress.com/...tartup-repair/

Ultimately, you have to be able to modify the registry. There are many many ways to do this.

...and if all else fails, and the bsod stops you from doing any of the above, then you can try booting a linux usb and load the registry from there. Trying to think of easier alternative. So, there is a program /company, called PartedMagic. It loads the windows registry and you can modify it from there. It's a linux boot. I think they have a free version you can try, haven't looked. Or Hiren's Boot Cd iso.
