Clock Watchdog Timeout BSOD's During Gaming, Log Zip provided
Bugcheck code: 0x101 (0x31, 0x0, 0xFFFFF880009C0180, 0x1)
Error: CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT
CPU: Intel Core i5-6600K
GPU: Geforce GTX 1070
For quite a while now I've been getting occasional BSOD's and freezing during gaming, never when idle. WhoCrashed presents the culprit as ntoskrnl.exe in the small dumps, hal.dll in the memory dump. Same with blue screen viewer. Darkest Dungeon and Star Traders Frontiers does not seem to cause this at all, but more intense games such as Starcraft 2 or Total Warhammer 2 can cause between 1-3 crashes per day.
Is the message I keep receiving every single time. BIOS are up to date and I've done several driver verifier runs with no success. I've never overclocked the CPU before, its all default settings. Tried to increase voltage/underclock but no success.
I've tried all manner of things, and I'm at my wits end quite frankly. Thanks in advance for any help!
