Did you use a tweak to change or remove the shortcut arrow?

This is my first post. Not sure if it should be here or not. If not, please inform where it should be........
I also have an icon problem.... I have 5 icons of data files on my desktop and everytime I work with them and save them, they change place. I try to find an option to lock them in place but there doesn't seem to be any.
    Does anyone have an answer????
