Black screen after idling for some time

If I leave my PC idle for a few hours, it black screens and becomes unresponsive, requiring me to do a hard shutdown.

Not sure when exactly this started. Maybe about a month or two ago?

Could use some insight as to what the culprit is. Thanks.

Bump. Just got another black screen of death. I've attached the new dump files. Could really use some help to analyze them and figure out what the heck is going on.

Hello Octiceps

Can you provide more information about the problem?

Is this issue happening on your Laptop?

When you experience a black screen with the computer,
- do you see the mouse pointer anywhere on the screen at all?
- had you tried pressing the CNTRL+SHIFT+ESC, or CNTRL+ALT+DEL key combinations?
Is this issue happening when connected to an external monitor, or when using the internal monitor?

Yes, this issue occurs on the laptop in my system specs.

There is no mouse pointer on screen. There is no backlight, the screen is completely turned off. The system is unresponsive to any input and has to be shut down by holding the power button.

I am using the internal display.

Hello Octiceps, sorry for the delay in returning to you.

It might be worth your while in hooking up the laptop to an external monitor. See if you can repeat the symptoms on the external display.

Also, perform a Clean Boot (Clean Startup). See if symptoms persist. This will help diagnose whether startup programs are causing any conflict.

Alternatively, re-install the graphics drivers for your graphics card.

And run a malware scan of the computer.

I suspected unstable hardware, so I removed all the overclocks in my system, then added them back one by one to try to isolate the culprit. Every time I added back an overclock, I let the system idle overnight to see if it would black screen. So far, I can no longer reproduce the black screens even with all overclocks applied to CPU, RAM, and GPU.
