    BSOD by hal.dll

    Hello!

Yesterday my computer crashed with a Bug Check String of MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION. I had been experiencing a number of crashes with DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE in September but only 1 of them this month. I updated all drivers on 9/14, after which only 2 crashes happened in Sept. I just updated my Intel Management Engine Driver but otherwise have no updates available.

I've been having strange network issues in the last 2 months as well, with frequent but temporary disconnects from the network that I haven't been able to figure out. Yesterday right before this crash happened all network drives had red Xs as though they were disconnected and their status showed disconnected in Windows Explorer, but they were perfectly accessible. "Net use" command didn't show any network drives attached. Files on an internal server were showing as potentially unsafe because the computer didn't recognize the network location I think. All of these issues were fixed with a log out, but the computer crashed minutes after logging back in.

    Thank you for looking!

Your .zip file doesn't contain any recent .dmp files. They're from April and earlier.

In regards to the network problems, I would try restarting my router.

Thank you for the reply! I don't know why the tool wasn't able to grab recent .dmps because I saw them with Bluescreenview. However I have decided to just reinstall the OS and see if any issues return. I'll mark this thread as solved.

Either way, let us know how it works out. "Inquiring minds what to know."
